A Strong Start: Introducing Our New Toolkit to Support Kindergarten Readiness from Day One

Hello Family Spartanburg continues to build momentum in strengthening support for families, and we’re excited to share the release of our Learning Success Toolkit: Birth–12 Months (3rd Edition). Designed for parents, grandparents, and caregivers, this new resource offers practical guidance to support children’s development during the most critical first year of life.

Grounded in research and built for everyday use, the toolkit translates early childhood development into simple, steps. From language and motor skills to social-emotional growth and early learning habits, it equips caregivers with milestones, tips, and activities that can be woven into daily routines, helping ensure children are supported from the very start.

This work is directly tied to our broader goal: ensuring every child in Spartanburg enters kindergarten ready to learn and thrive. By focusing on the earliest months of life, when brain development is most rapid and foundational skills are formed, we are investing upstream in outcomes that matter. Strong early experiences lead to stronger readers, healthier students, and more confident learners in the classroom and beyond.
